is not very practical for us to say

Umm it’s quite practical, see, these kind of bottles allow the wine to breathe better, giving it a smoother, richer flavor.
    Fool.

  3. avatar Pomroy Says:

Matt, you’re the only one making a fool of yourself here. Not everyone can be expected to have the time nor want to become involved in the world of Wine. This bottle DOES indeed seem unpractical, if one hadn’t known the use for it.

This bottle looks more like a decanter then a bottle.

  5. avatar Jon Says:

    easy on the claws, Matt.

  6. avatar danisaur Says:

    sure it helps it breathe.
but it also becomes more of an accident waiting to happen.
it’s not practical in the sense of mothers with younger children and those who have pets.
    so the question is;
    which would you rather:
normal wine or a spill in your carpet?

  7. avatar danisaur Says:

    *stain in your carpet.

    Spot on Matt B!

Maq, I agree… for you.. no amount of breathing will assist the flavor of MD20/20.

  9. avatar Avisioncame Says:

Well, actually, yes it impractical. Wine is intended to be held in a bottle for the reason to keep it’s flavor tepid. The wine shouldn’t breathe until given time in the taster’s glass. This way one can savor the bottle for for as long as they like.

Although this would be a nice idea for a party setting!

wine doesn’t need to be saved in a bottle, hence a decanter. This bottle acts as a decanter and a aerator.

one doesn’t need to spend a lot of time to know much about wine. don’t make assumptions, instead ask question to designs that you have less knowledge on
